Thanksgiving...Yes!!

This month’s blog will not be about food and what it does and the nutrients they have, it is all about how grateful I am.

I am grateful for all my readers and clients. The feedback for my blogs has been refreshing and informative. I hope you will keep letting me know what you would like to read about and anything you would like to have me explain. There are so many different studies and diets and trends out there now, it can be very overwhelming. It is my intention to be a guide to what is right for you and your family, please let me help you. Thank you!

I have been blessed with a wonderful family, incredibly patient and caring friends, wonderfully trusting, kind and loving clients! If someone had told me 30 years ago this would be my life I would have doubted it. But I was only 20 something then, what did I know (okay…23 years old, now you know, LOL) Thank you!

I am a very fortunate person! I am able to help people with nutrition and accounting needs. I have spent two years learning about nutrition and how I can use that knowledge to help people feel their best, enjoy life and enjoy food. The rewards I receive from helping people achieve these goals are nothing compared to seeing how happy they are that they have done it and they are healthier and happier. Now, the other gift of accounting knowledge may not be as interesting as nutrition (haha, that's an understatement), but it is equally important. I know that what I do gives people peace of mind knowing that I am taking care of their accounting and tax needs. I appreciate both opportunities I have been blessed with. Thank You!

Life can be so complicated, at times we may forget how much we have been blessed with. I know I am guilty of missing the many opportunities throughout my day to remember. Each morning I have my time that I pray and reflect, but a lot of the time I forget to say just a simple “Thank You”. It isn’t just about thanking God for everything; it is also about remembering to thank the people in our life, just letting them know they are appreciated. Everyday life catches hold of our minds and time and we forget to show gratitude to the people we live with every day. Wouldn’t it be great to make November “I Thank You” month? To remember to thank someone verbally each day!!! Someone has probably already started this trend and I missed it...but we could pass it on! Wouldn't it be nice to be on the receiving end of this as well? Thank you!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all, it makes me focus on how grateful I am for all I have in my life. I love the traditions and the food. I enjoy cooking and almost every year I forget something or under cook something! It makes it so much more interesting!! I start listening to Christmas music at the beginning of November, which some people say, “you should wait until after thanksgiving”, in my opinion (just an opinion) that is for Christmas decorations. I have a reason to listen to Christmas music, most of what I listen to is about the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, and at a time when we focus on being grateful, it reinforces what I am grateful for. I just like the music and would probably listen to it all year, but I want it to be special.

I am truly grateful for all of you! May your holiday be filled with overwhelming feelings of gratitude... I know mine will be! I Thank You!

My Love and Gratitude to You All,

Karen

P.S. Remember portion control 😊 (I had to fit one little tid bit in!!) Honestly, enjoy the holiday foods, you won't be eating on Black Friday while you are waiting in line!! Haha!
